Theresa Hoover is a musician, educator, and author. She is an advocate for student voice in the music room and works to empower students throughout their musical experiences while helping teachers transform their classrooms into student-centered learning environments. Theresa has taught instrumental, general, and vocal music in a variety of settings, most recently teaching middle school band in Northern Virginia.
Theresa is a recognized presenter and clinician for local, regional, and national conferences. She is a Google for Education Certified Trainer and Innovator. Through the Google Innovator program she created TACET for Teachers, a resource supporting music teacher well-being. Additionally, Theresa blogs at Off the Beaten Path in Music and is the co-author of Pass the Baton: Empowering All Music Students.
